THE SEEKER

I don’t mind answering a question or two from an inquiring mind. I enjoy providing words of encouragement or clarity to those seeking their spiritual growth. And I’ll gladly answer questions about mediumship and how I work. What’s tough, though, are people who want to engage in a never-ending back-and-forth because they don’t want to commit to booking a session.

When clients schedule sessions, I do my best to help them deal with any difficulty, and do all I can to get my guides to bring their spirit people to me. It’s my profession, and I’m proud of what I do. However, people who contact me with more than just a simple question and demand I respond with lengthy explanations of their problems, or want to engage in a philosophic debate are tiring to deal with. Basically, I feel, they want a reading but don’t want to pay for my service. Like everyone reading this blog, I do care for humanity. But I also have bills to pay.

In addition, I don’t have the time, patience or energy to defend myself to people who do their darndest to justify the fact that what they are doing is okay. If you’re so die-hard convinced that what you’re doing is correct, why contact me?

(Note to fellow mediums and lightworkers: Do these scenarios seem familiar to you?)

Which brings me to a fellow – I’ll call him Bob – who recently contacted me through my Instagram page to ask about karma. Evidently, he was freaking out because he thought he had lived too many lives. I wrote back and explained my concept of karma, which seemed to settle him down. But a day later, he emailed again and said he realized he had a lot of issues to deal with (out of respect for his privacy, I won’t list them) and wondered if those difficulties were carryovers from a past life.

I congratulated him for recognizing he had issues to work through, and told him it was a great first step to dealing with his situation. One way to find meaning in one’s life, I told him, was through volunteering, or becoming a mentor to someone who was struggling. Doing such an act would create a sense of gratitude within him. Then I wished him well and went on with my day.

Two days later, he emailed me again, asking if I could help him “on his journey.” At this point, I suggested he contact a professional, who was certainly better trained to help him understand why things in his life were going the way they were. I told him I’m not trained to do deep dives into personal difficulties, and won’t pretend to do so.

He instantly wrote back, saying that if I worked with him and answered his questions, it would raise my karma to the nth degree. I politely declined his karmic offer, and suggested that if he had further questions, to please book a session.

It’s been a number of weeks since I last heard from Bob, and I hope he has found the help and peace of mind he was seeking.

I love providing service to people, but when it comes to free advice, I can only go so far. Bringing forth loved ones in spirit, answering paychic questions is what I do in session. So, please respect this profession, and
livelihood. If you have a question, and/or want to link with your spirit people, please set up a session. In this way, both of us gain from the experience.

If you have a question or comment on this subject, please feel free to write me. And please visit me again!
