2024 is an "8" year (2+0+2+4=8). 8 is the number of power, material and financial gain, achievement, reward, status and satisfaction. The 8 year vibration will provde the means - the personal power - with which to change the status quo and accomplish a significant goal that will alter the direction and quality of your journey. So here's to a great new year full of possibilities.
According to astrology.com, the first few days of the new year usher in a sober quality of time. Close relationships could now need some nurturing, but some partners may also crave a few days of distance from each other. Mercury in Sagittarius ends its retrograde phase on January 2, and on the 4th, everyday duties are already calling again. A GIFT FROM A FRIEND
I thought it was important to share what happened to my friend, Neal, with this beautiful prayer. I believe it adds to the mystique of our work, the power of prayer and the power of timing. Thank you, Neal, for sharing.

Seven years ago, when I was doing a very late-night meditation, a prayer came to me, rapidly and almost exactly as you find it here. I jotted it down, and on Christmas Eve I shared it with what was then my daily Tarot list. I was touched to learn that it was used the next morning by the celebrant minister as part of a worship service.

And then it disappeared. I assumed I had lost it in a computer transfer not long after that, and just let it go. It showed up late last night when I was searching for something else.

I'm sharing it with you in case it might offer something in this magical and sacred season.

Our Mothers and Fathers of Light, Who are within us and among us always,
 Hallowed are You, Your love, Your guidance and Your hope for each of us, Your children.
 Give us this day all we need and hope for,
 To see and believe in and work toward the highest and best for all, always.
 Forgive us and lift us up,
 That we may forgive ourselves and each other when we lose our way –-
 When we forget that we and all our brothers and sisters, of every creed, and color, and love, and hope, and species, are each and all Your children, all children of Light, all One in Your eyes and Your creation and Your love.
 Let us not be led into falseness, darkness and division, but help us to lift ourselves and each other up,
