If this is supposed to be the Age of Aquarius, why is there discord in the world? It’s the age of enlightenment, where we embrace peace, love and understanding, right? We should be embracing love and recognizing we are all brothers and sisters in spirit. Unfortunately, current events tell a different tale.
Where is this so-called promised spiritual illumination? Well, I may have found an answer. I came upon these words that were given during trance by famed English medium Gordon Smith. They were delivered via Smith by one of his guides, Master Chi.
Smith/Chi was asked by a séance participant why there was so much strife in the world. After several moments of thought, here was the answer:
I could not help but connect to your discussion earlier about freedom. So many words seemed to contaminate the purity of the word itself. Remember, you have come from a state of freedom in the spirit world and it was your choice to come to a world of confinement and restriction in this physical realm.
In your discussion there was talk of fighting for freedom, yet fights in the physical world restrict your freedom more often than allow it to be.
All of the things you find restricting in this world are the result of fear and human desire. Need can blind and confine you, and in confinement your nature will cause you to struggle.
In other words, when our souls decide to incarnate and enter the physical plane (Earth), we go from a place of divine love and limitless freedom. Strife does not exist in this dimension we think of as “heaven.” Every soul is equal – so why compete if every soul has its needs met?
Unfortunately, part of the process of birth into this world includes coming to life anew. Young children may have vague memories of heaven, but as we mature, we lose those ideas and become enculturated into a world that demands survival of the fittest. They are terrified by the idea of freedom, and believe safety can only be achieved through limitations. It’s much safer and easier to think inside the box.
Thankfully, not all people forget their heavenly origins – people like Mother Theresa and those who choose to work at non-profits know deep-down that they’re carrying out a “heavenly” desire to improve humanity.
When we meditate, when we pray for peace; when we donate to causes close to our hearts, we carry out that deep-down desire to improve not just our life, but the lives of everyone on the planet. Sadly, there will always be those who refuse to embrace the healing light within their soul. The best we can do is pray for them, and stand in solidarity with those who strive to recreate the freedom of the spirit world in our daily life.
